Nanaimo Ugly Sweater Invitational
This is our end of cycle meet for Squads 1-4. We will once again be getting custom made Ugly Sweater Sharks Shirts for the event, so I will be trying to get sized from all the swimmers this week.
The event is 3 days heats and finals. It is set up so all swimmers will have opportunities to swim in finals so plan on it being a big swimming weekend.
From experience I recommend getting a hotel for the weekend. It seems like a good idea to drive (I did for some years) but from experience a couple nights in a hotel is a better experience for the kid to have a place to rest, get to bed early and save you 6 hours of driving and gas. Coaches will be staying at the Inn at Long Lake. It is a nice inn located on Long Lake (between the pool and mall). It includes breakfast and via Expedia is $120-160/night depending on what type of room you want (2Q, 2Q+kitchenette, 2Q+hideabed)

Finals: Friday & Saturday at 3:45, Sunday at 2:30
The pool has brand new blocks (same as we have at the Aquatic Centre) and finally has backstroke ledges.
